Fun ATV 4x4 tour & river rafting tour in Iceland - From wheels to waves
Two really fun activities combined in one day. On this tour you will explore the best of Iceland's rugged wilderness. Here you will get an action filled day with lots of adrenaline and fun! Pick-up starts early in the morning, from your accommodation in Reykjavík.
This ATV 4x4 and River rafting tour is available directly from Reykjavik in Iceland. We will pick you up and drive to our ATV base camp, located only 15 minutes from downtown Reykjavík. On arrival, we give you a brief security talk and show you all you need to know about how the bikes work. Once we have made sure everyone is ready, we will ride the ATV 4x4 bikes up the hills toward Hafrafell mountain. On the top of the mountain you will all enjoy the stunning view of Reykjavík capital area and Esja volcano in the background.
After the great fun of riding the ATV´s we head along to Drumbó Basecamp, located in the Golden Circle area, where we gear up for rafting on the white-water river of Hvítá. Hvítá is a beautiful glacier river in the Golden Circle area.
Hvítá Glacier River has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. We raft for 7 kilometers (4.6 miles) and at one point, the participants get the opportunity to jump from a high cliff into the ice-cold river. It is lots of fun. After the fun ride on the glacier river, everyone can shower and enjoy the sauna. This is the ultimate action combination tour.
Remember to bring: Warm undergarments, preferably fleece or wool (No cotton!). Warm socks and sweater and a change of clothes. Bathing suit & towel.
