Day tour to the enchanting and unique Jökulsárlon Glacier Lagoon. The tour is a guided day tour to the Glacier Lagoon Jökulsárlón, which is located approx. 370km (230 miles) east of Reykjavik and is one of Iceland's most beautiful natural wonders.
Jökulsárlón is not a very old lagoon, and it was created due to global warming. Huge blocks of ice constantly break off the glacier Breidamerkurjökull, where they then float in the glacier lagoon. The glacier lagoon is the deepest lake in Iceland. Upon arrival, we take a boat trip on the glacier lagoon on an amphibian boat that can run both on land and water. On this boat trip you will sail between the giant icebergs, a picturesque scenario.
On the day tour you will, among other things, see impressively beautiful waterfalls, cozy villages, glaciers and black sandy beaches.
Our stop on the tour will be at Seljalandsfoss, one of Europe's most famous waterfalls, where you can walk behind the waterfall (please bring a rain jacket) and Skógarfoss waterfall from the movie "Thor" and "Walter Mitty".
Seljalandsfoss is part of the river Seljalandsá, which flows from the glacier area.
We also visit the black sandy beach Reynisfjara and see the rock formations at Reynisdrangar. Experience a rich bird life on the south coast where there is a great opportunity to see puffins and the magnificent Skaftafell National Park.
On the trip you get the opportunity to experience a fantastic and extreme nature, which cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
